Ashokapuram is a part of Coimbatore city in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is about 12 km from City center in North Direction. Ashokapuram is located on the streach of Mettupalayam road in Coimbatore. Neighbouring places are Thudiyalur, NGGO Colony.
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Ashokapuram had a population of 9676. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Ashokapuram has an average literacy rate of 84%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 53% of the males and 47% of females literate. 7% of the population is under 6 years of age.
