Athenry was a constituency represented in the Irish House of Commons to 1800.

History

Sir Thomas Cusack, former Lord Chancellor of Ireland, represented Athenry in the first Irish Parliament of Elizabeth I.


In the Patriot Parliament of 1689 summoned by King James II, Athenry was represented with two members.[1]
