Autumn Lights is an American-Icelandic-French mystery-drama film written and directed by Angad Aulakh. The film stars Guy Kent, Marta Gastini, and Sveinn Ólafur Gunnarsson. Set in Iceland, the film delves into themes of obsession, loss, and loneliness as seen through the eyes of a stranger in a strange land.[1] The film is scheduled to open in limited release in the United States on October 21, 2016 from Freestyle Releasing and Freestyle Digital Media.[2]
The film is produced by Angad Aulakh and Guy Kent, alongside Ashley M. Kent, Davíd Óskar Ólafsson and Árni Filippusson.[3][4][5]
Plot
The story centers on David (Guy Kent), an American photographer adrift in a remote Icelandic community. After discovering a deserted crime scene, David is implicated in a local investigation and forced to remain in the area longer than expected. By chance, he crosses paths with an Italian woman (Marta Gastini) living with her Icelandic husband (Sveinn Ólafur Gunnarsson) in the secluded countryside. But as David’s fascination with the couple begins to intensify, he slowly finds himself entangled in their mysterious lives.[6]

Production
Autumn Lights was shot on location throughout Iceland and in Paris, France.
Soundtrack
The soundtrack includes the original score by Hugi Gudmundsson and Hjörtur Ingvi Jóhannsson and the original song "Seconds" by Hjaltalín's Sigrídur Thorlacius, with music and lyrics written by Johannsson. The soundtrack is set to be released in Fall 2016.
