Ava Alam (née De; 1947–1976) was a Bangladeshi classical singer. She was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1978 by the Government of Bangladesh.[1]

Early life and career

Alam took music lesson from her father, Haripada De, and Mithun De. Since 1959 she took part in classical music programs at Radio Pakistan.

She performed in the All-Pakistan Music Conference.

Alam took the name Ava Alam after she had married Tariqul Alam.
