Avis (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐˈviʃ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 606.0 km2 and a total population of 5054 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of eight parishes, and is located in the District of Portalegre. The present Mayor is Manuel Maria Libério Coelho, elected by the Unitarian Democratic Coalition. The municipal holiday is Easter Monday.
