B. Jaya a veteran actress of south Indian films acted over four decades.[2] She has acted in over 200 films in variety of roles.[1][3]

Film career

She came to the cinema as child artist from Bhaktha Prahallada Kannada cinema. Prathigne, Bettada Huli, Nyayave Devaru got her awards from film fans. In 2004-2005 for ‘Gowdru’ Kannada cinema she received the best supporting actress. She is the recipient of Nataka Academy award in a long career as an actress.[1]
