Baba (born December 31, 1968) is an Indonesian bureaucrat born in Enrekang, South Sulawesi. He served as Assistant for Economics and Development of the Enrekang Regional Secretariat from 2014 to 2016, Acting Regent of Enrekang in 2018, and Acting Daily Secretary of Enrekang in 2019. From 2016 to 2020, he served as Head of the Enrekang Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), then became Secretary of Enrekang Regency from 2020 to 2023.

Career

In Raja Ampat, he also served as the regional financial and asset management agency of Raja Ampat from 1994 to 2003, Head of the Budget Sub-Section of the Raja Ampat Regional Secretariat from 2003 to 2006, Head of the Raja Ampat Finance Section from 2006 to 2008, and Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Raja Ampat Regency from 2008 to 2014.

He was appointed as Chairman of the PSSI Raja Ampat Regency (2005–2010), Chairman of the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals Association (ICMI) Raja Ampat Regency (2005–2010), and Administrator of the LPTQ Raja Ampat Regency (2006–2011).

He was appointed as the Chairperson of the Enrekang Islamic Holiday Commemoration (PHBI) in 2020, the Administrator of the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals Association (ICMI) Enrekang in 2021, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Tennis Association (PELTI) Enrekang in 2021, and the Chairperson of the Indonesian Civil Servant Corps of the Regional Representative Council of Enrekang Regency in 2021. In 2023, he was appointed as the acting Regent of Enrekang, replacing Muslimin Bando.
