Banská Bystrica mesto railway station (Template:Lang-sk) serves the city of Banská Bystrica in central Slovakia. It is situated a short walk from the centre of the old town, in contrast to the larger but less central Banská Bystrica railway station.
History
The station was opened on 3 September 1873 as Banská Bystrica Svätý Jan (Template:Lang-hu) together with the rest of the Zvolen–Banská Bystrica section of the Vrútky–Zvolen railway.[1]
Facilities
The station has a single platform, and a single storey station building housing information and ticketing facilities.

The station is owned by Železnice Slovenskej republiky (ŽSR); passenger train services are operated by Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK).
