Baroon dir lower

Baroon is a village in Lower Dir district of Pakistan, situated at a distance of about 11 km from Timergara, on the way from Timergara to Upper Dir, opposite to the main road, separated from the main road by Panjkora river. The village contains many beautiful fields in which different crops are sown like rice, wheat, maize, different vegetables and also there are gardens of orange and other fruits.

Location

Baroon is situated on left side of Panjkora river in front of Rani village, about 16 km from district headquarterS, Timergara.

History

Two major tribes of pukhtoons [1]Yousafzai (یوسفزئ)and [2] Shinwari (شنواری)are settled there. But Yousufzai is ruling family of baroon. Famous Song about baroon :jare da baroon jenakay baroon a wran ko [citation needed]

Population

Baroon has more than 600 houses. It has one middle school for boys and one for girls. [citation needed]

There are no Govt health facility so for major health problems people go to the headquarters hospital Timergara

Climate

Summer season is hot and winter season is extremely cold.[citation needed]

Education

One middle school for boys and one for girl.For higher education people usually goes to Peshawar and other cities. There is also a private school.[citation needed]

Sports

Youngsters can play different games such as football, volleyball and cricket; In The Holly Month of Ramadan they play night tournaments and people from different villages come here to enjoy participating.[citation needed]
