Beggar on Horseback is a 1925 American comedy silent film directed by James Cruze and written by Marc Connelly, George S. Kaufman and Walter Woods. The film stars Edward Everett Horton, Esther Ralston, Erwin Connelly, Gertrude Short, Ethel Wales, Theodore Kosloff and Betty Compson. The film was released on August 24, 1925, by Paramount Pictures.[1][2]

Plot

This film is about a young composer who is tempted to marry for money. He dreams (literally, falls asleep and dreams) of a nightmare of his life as the husband of a rich woman. From Photoplay magazine, 1925.
