Bennie J. George was a head football and basketball coach for the Delaware State Hornets programs. As the first basketball head coach in Delaware State history, George led the Hornets for 14 seasons and compiled an overall record of 155–152. He is still the longest tenured and was passed in 2010 by Greg Jackson as the winningest basketball coach in Delaware State history. As a football coach, George spent three seasons on the sidelines and compiled an overall record of 10–14.
