Berezan (Template:Lang-uk, Template:Lang-pl, Template:Lang-ru) is a city in Kiev Oblast (region) of Ukraine. Administratively, it is incorporated as a town of oblast significance. Population: 16,543 (2013 est.)[1].

History

Berezań was first mentioned in Kiev Voivodeship chronicles in 1616. It was part of the voivodeship as a royal city of Poland until 1667, when it passed to Russia.
