Bhaniyana is a census village mostly of the ethnic group, Jat, in the Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, India.

It is 110 km. to the east of Jaisalmer and 36 km to the south of Pokaran. Bhaniyana has a population of 1,500 families out of which 1,000 families are Jat. The main gotra (clan) of this village is Godara.Prahladani Godara's is famous part of Bhaniyana village in which 1000 Jat Families and Agriculture is the main source of living. Bhaniyana is the most developed village in Jaisalmer, mainly due to CHOUDHARY KHARTA RAM, who is the only person in India to be a member of panchayati raj from 1959 to the present.

BHEEM TALAB (Bheem Pond) is the old source of fresh water in Bhaniyana, and has been the life line of several villages.
