William T. Fleming[4] (1871 – after 1896) was a Scottish footballer who played as an inside left in the English Football League for Sheffield United and Bury and in the Scottish League for Abercorn.[1]

By 1892, Fleming was playing for Darlington of the Northern League,[5] and attracting interest at a higher level. The "promising forward" became Sheffield United's first signing after their promotion to the Football League First Division.[6] He scored seven goals from 21 league matches before returning to Scotland to join Abercorn.[1] In January 1896, Fleming moved back to England, signing for Bury for a fee of £30 to Abercorn and a further fee to Sheffield United, who retained his Football League registration.[3] He played twice in the First Division for Bury, scoring once.[1] He spent a short spell with Tottenham Hotspur in late 1896, playing twice in the Southern League and scoring once,.[7]

Fleming's older brother James, known as Jock Fleming, played League football for Aston Villa and Lincoln City.[1][2]
