The black-bodied woodpecker also called White-shouldered Woodpecker (Dryocopus schulzi)[2][3][4] is a species of bird in the Picidae family. The genus is still under discussion, is proposed to "new world Dryocopus" (del Hoyo and Collar 2014) the genus Hylatomus. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, moist savanna, and plantations . It is near threatened by habitat loss.
