The black-winged saltator (Saltator atripennis) is a South American songbird species. The saltators are traditionally placed in the cardinal family (Cardinalidae), but actually seem to be closer to tanagers (Thraupidae).

It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
