The blue-tufted starthroat (Heliomaster furcifer) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, and possibly Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and dry savanna.
