Robert John Brotzki (born December 24, 1962) is a former American football offensive tackle in the National Football League for the Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Syracuse University.
Early years
Brotzki attended St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School in Sandusky, Ohio. He accepted a scholarship from the Syracuse University, where he started 45 consecutive games at tight end and left tackle.
Professional career
Indianapolis Colts
Bob Brotzki was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the ninth round (228th overall) of the 1986 NFL Draft. During his time with the team he was a reserve player. He was waived on September 28, 1988, to make room for guard Ron Solt.[1]
Dallas Cowboys
On October 19, 1988, he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared in 7 games and was declared inactive for 2 contests.
Atlanta Falcons
On February 21, 1989, he was signed in Plan B free agency by the Atlanta Falcons.[2] He was released on September 4.[3]
Personal life
After football, he was an assistant football coach for two years at Robert Morris College. He is an assistant director for player development at Syracuse University.[4]
