It is located in the village of Bodom in the upper Ogndalen valley, about 26 kilometres (16 mi) east of the town of Steinkjer. It is an annex church for the Ogndal parish which is part of the Nord-Innherad prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1905 by the architect S. Wiese Opsahl.
