Brandon Dickson (born November 3, 1984) is an American professional baseball player who currently plays for the Orix Buffaloes of the Nippon Professional Baseball League. He was signed undrafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2006 after attending Tusculum College.[1]
He is 6' 5", 190 lbs.[2]
In 2006, playing for the New Market Rebels in the Valley Baseball League, Dickson had a league-leading and franchise record 13 saves, and led the league in wins, going 5-0 in 26 relief appearances.[3]
Career
His contract was purchased from AAA-Memphis on June 30, 2011, and called up to fill the roster spot vacated by Ryan Franklin's release the previous day.[4]
He made his major league debut on July 2, 2011 against the Tampa Bay Rays, pitching a perfect 1.2 IP in the 7th-8th inn. giving up no hits, no runs, no walks, and no strikeouts.[5]
