Brenda Schad (1974) is a former American model.

Early life

Schad was born in Walnut Creek, California[2] to Native American parents of Choctaw and Cherokee descent[3] Schad was adopted by a military family as a child and was raised all over the United States.[citation needed] Schad stated she always knew she was adopted and knew who her natural mother was.[4] Schad was approached to become a model when she was 14 years old while trying on a swimsuit at a store in Japan.[5]

Career

She has appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK, Vogue, ELLE and GQ UK magazines.[5][6] Schad has also appeared in Wonderbra advertisements, where she got the nickname "Miss Wonderbra."[7] Schad also appeared in the movies Head over Heels[8] and D.R.E.A.M. Team.[9]

Schad advocated Native American causes, and she founded the Native American Children's Fund in Oklahoma.[4] She speaks English, French, Italian and Japanese.

Personal life

In an interview Brenda stated by the age of 19 she was "modelling in Paris and had married a French man." She also stated she was "too young" and her parents didn't think it was a good decision. They later divorced, Schad raising their daughter Sterling as a single mother.[4][5]

In an interview for Sky Magazine in 2001 Schad stated that she had only dated one "rich man"-British millionaire businessman Robert Hanson, whom she met at a party when he was Naomi Campbell's date.[5] She also sat next to Albert II, Prince of Monaco for a date organized by a client of hers and that she had a "fantastic time", calling him a "wonderful person." She also lived in Italy for a "very short time."[3]

In an August 2014 article, Schad was described as being a 44-year-old mother of two.[10] She sued Fredrik Broberg, the father of her son, for child support in 2014 in New York.[11] In 2001 she was linked to American actor Matthew Modine.[12]

Schad has an apartment in Gramercy Park, Manhattan and an apartment in Los Cabos, Mexico.[10][11]
