Brendan B. Brown (born October 11, 1973) is an American musician from Northport, New York. Commonly known as BBB to fans, Brown is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and the only remaining founding member of pop rock band Wheatus, which he formed in 1995 with his brother, Peter Brown (drums) and Rich Liegey (bass).[1]
With Wheatus, Brown has had two hits which included "Teenage Dirtbag" (which reached number 1 in the Australian chart, and was Top Ten in the UK and Germany); and a cover of Erasure's "A Little Respect", which reached number 3 in the UK Singles Chart. The subject of what the "B" in the middle of Brendan's name stands for has become somewhat memetic between fans with him occasionally suggesting what his middle name could be during interviews.[2]
Following on from a 48-date European tour with Wheatus, Brown is now back in the studio working on, among many projects, a seventh album of songs for Wheatus. He collaborated with James Bourne of McBusted on several songs for McBusted's album McBusted.
