Brendan Irvine (born 17 May 1996), nicknamed the "Wee Rooster",[1] is an Irish boxer from Belfast. Irvine won a silver medal in the men's 49 kg division at the 2015 European Games.[2][3] Brendan moved up to the 52 kg weight class in 2016 winning another Irish senior title. Later during the year in April the Wee rooster himself then qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, through the European Olympic qualifyier in Turkey.
