Bugala Island is the second largest island in Lake Victoria[citation needed], Uganda, after Ukerewe Island. Its area is 275 square kilometres (106 sq mi) or 27,000 hectares (67,000 acres). It is a part of the Ssese Islands in the Kalangala District. The chief town is Kalangala.
