The Builsa District is one of the nine (9) districts in the Upper East Region of north Ghana. The capital is Sandema.

Education

There are numerous schools in Builsa District, including senior secondary schools.

Economy

The economic structure of the Builsa District is dominated by an agrarian subsistence economy. Industry is scarce, and tourism has not yet developed.

Demographics

The Builsa people of the Builsa District's population are immigrants from Burkina Faso.
