Bulcsú Révész is a Hungarian snooker player. In February 2024 he won the WSF World Junior Championship, and with it earned a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour starting with 2024–25 snooker season.

Career

In 2019, competing as a twelve year-old, Révész made the last 16 of the EBSA European 6 Reds competition. He then reached the Quarter Finals of the EBSA European Snooker Open, where he lost out to the eventual winner Kristján Helgason from Iceland.[1] That year, he was runner-up at the U16 European Championship and the U16 World Championship, and finished third at the U21 World Championship.[2]

2022/23 season

In August 2022, he was defeated by Liam Davies in the World Open Under-16 Snooker Championships.[3]

In March 2023, he became European under-18 snooker champion, defeating Liam Pullen in the final of the 2023 EBSA European Snooker Championships in Malta.[4]

2023/24 season

In November 2023, Révész lost 6-3 against professional Hammad Miah in the qualifiers of the 2023 UK Championship. However, during the match he hit a total clearance 140 break which marked his highest break in an international competition.[5][6] He was on the receiving end of a sizeable break when he faced former World Champion Shaun Murphy at the 2023 Snooker Shoot Out and Murphy scored the first 147 maximum break in the competition's history.[7]

At the WSF Junior Snooker Championship held in Albania in February 2024, Révész defeated China's Gong Chenzhi 5-3 in the final. With this win he was awarded a two-year place on the World Snooker Tour from the 2024–25 snooker season. [8][9] In doing so, he becomes the first professional Hungarian snooker player.[10]
