Cancer , Latin: lesser crab, was a constellation composed from a stars in Gemini adjacent to Cancer. The 5th magnitude stars constituting Cancer Minor were HIP 36616, and 68, 74, 81 and 85 Geminorum, constituting a faint natural arrow formed asterism. The constellation was introduced by Petrus Plancius in 1613 [1]. It was used during the 17th century, but was no longer recognized since the 18th century.
