Cannabis in Quebec will, as in the entirety of Canada, become legal on the effective date of the Cannabis Act on October 17, 2018.

Legalization

Under Bill 157, proposed in November 2017, the Société québécoise du cannabis will be the only legal entity to transport or sell cannabis at the retail level. In Quebec the minimum age for purchasing cannabis will be 18. Home-growing will not be permitted.[1]
