Carle Place Middle/High School is a six-year comprehensive public high school located in the hamlet of Carle Place in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.

As of the 2014-15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 636 students and 66.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.6:1. There were 105 students (16.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 23 (3.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.[1]

Information

Carle Place High School is one of America's Best Public High Schools. The school is very enthusiastic about sports and school spirit. This enthusiasm is shown through three pep rallies during the school year. The school is #218 out of 500 based on the class of 2010. The school has also been used for filming the CBS show Hostages and the independent film Fan Girl

Sister schools

Carle Place High School had a sister school in Filabusi, Matabeleland South Province, Zimbabwe, named Singwango Secondary School, and still donates sports equipment (e.g., old uniforms).[2]

Carle Place High School's current sister school is Guwe Secondary School, Zimbabwe. The school still donates what is mentioned above.
