Yoder has represented the 12th district in the State Senate since 2008. He serves as Assistant Majority Caucus Chair. He serves on the Agriculture & Natural Resources, Education and Career Development, and Utilities and Technology committees. The district includes Elkhart county. He won election to the senate in 2008. He received 27,496 votes while Democrat Donald Metzler-Smith received 16,569 votes.

Personal

Yoder is married with four children. He is a member of the Sugar Grove Church.
