Proposal to Delete Category[edit]

Before any steps should be taken to delete this important category, may I please ask why the person who proposed its uncalled-for "deletion" did so? What are the person's reasons, as this category will help others navigate to pages that treat on the Barilla plants in our diverse ecosystems.Davidbena (talk) 17:21, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Redrose64, dear friend, as you must surely know, the purpose of a category is to help would-be enquirers into a certain subject navigate more efficiently to other pages that treat on the same subject. Why then are you proposing that we delete a category that is used for various plants in our ecosystem that are all classified as "Barilla plants", that is, plants that are salt-tolerant (halophyte) plants, such as the saltworts, and those plants containing high quantities of either soda, sodium and chloride? It makes no sense to me. Can you please explain your motive?Davidbena (talk) 17:35, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Davidbena: I refer you to my response on my user talk page, also to WP:MULTI. --Redrose64 (talk) 17:55, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies to you, as now that I know that there is no proposal to delete this category. A case of "misunderstanding."Davidbena (talk) 18:08, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
