Scope of category?[edit]

I've created an article about Ruth Riley, who was born in Kansas but grew up in Indiana and played high school and college basketball there. I'm not sure whether she's considered to be within this category. I'll leave it to the Wikihoosiers to decide whether to add the category to her bio. JamesMLane 01:39, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of a new subcat[edit]

I am going through all the articles in this cat and moving them appropriate sub cats, sorting them by occupation and place of birth or residence. Most are being moved to "People from X county, Indiana" or "People from X, Indiana". A few of these people do not have birth places listed on their articles. I think it would be appropriate to create a sub cat, "People from an indeterminate place in Indiana", or something like that with a better name, and keep that as a temporary place until a more precise place of birth is found. I didn't want to do that without any discussion at all, so does anyone oppose that?
