Oriental studies vs Asian studies[edit]

The term "Oriental studies" is not just older than "Asian studies", but also marginally covers an area beyond Asia. For instance, Oriental studies could extend to Egypt in the good old days, while Egypt is a topic in African studies rather than Asian studies. --Quest for Truth (talk) 17:25, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
