Well, what about battles on French soil ??

[edit]

Well, what about battles fought on French soil, such as the Battle of Nancy (1944), which was admittedly fought by the U.S. Army and the German Wehrmacht; and the Battle of Saint-Lô (1944) (spelled St. Lo in American English), in Normandy, which was admittedly fought by the Americans and the Germans (with some help by their allies). However, these battles on French soil strongly affected French civilians, the French land, and hence France. In 1944, there was a whole series of battles fought in Normandy and elsewhere that were prosecuted against the German Army by the armies of the United States, Britain, Canada, and assorted small units from Poland, Czechoslovakia, Belgium, etc.47.215.180.7 (talk) 18:04, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
