What about Phar-Mor?
- There's also Billy Blake, White, TSS, Seedmans, Gertz, Sterns, and Great Eastern, fomerly known as Floyd's(at least in North Patchogue, New York). ----DanTD (talk) 12:37, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- I remember the A.G.E. (American Government Employees?) store that was on Hegenberger Rd, Oakland, near the airport. It was a membership only big box-type store. I remember my dad telling me since so many people were veterans in the mid-'60s to early '70s (WW II, Korea, Vietnam), membership wasn't much of a barrier. Missing
[edit]S. S. Kresge is missing from the list. A major player in the discount retail chain, and there is a Wikipedia page dedicated to him and his stores. His legacy continues as the Kresge Foundation, a major grant maker. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.89.176.249 (talk) 20:14, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
