For consideration: rename to "Impact craters on Earth"?
[edit]In the CFD to merge Cat:Astroblemes into this category, it was suggested that this category should be renamed "Cat:Impact craters on Earth". Now that the definition has been settled as being just impact craters, that would be consistent with the purpose of the category. What do others think? This carries the side effect of needing to rename a whole tree of categories similarly "Cat:Craters..." to "Cat:Impact craters..." etc. Ikluft (talk) 05:00, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Here's a category tree to help determine how many categories that involves. Everything that says just "craters" in this tree would become "impact craters". Ikluft (talk) 13:44, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- I counted 76 categories would be renamed. I'm going to take this to Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Geology and CC a note to Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Astronomy. Ikluft (talk) 14:00, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
