The sports figures in this list are extremely questionable[edit]

What was the basis to select these current sports figures in this list? 1. They don't seem to have more of an indigenous background than other notable people in Mexico. 2. Their pages don't make references to their origins that sustain this claim. 3. Having followed sports and specially soccer for a long time in Mexico, I don't have any recollection of hearing them or reading about them having an indigenous background. At least, nothing to separate them from the average mexican. This seems like a made up list! Hugo cantu (talk) 18:55, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this list and spanish mexicans should be taken rid of, 70%-80% of mexicans have european blood, and 85-90% have ameridian blood, so both are unrelative. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jesusmariajalisco (talkcontribs) 01:54, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed all of the individuals (mostly atheletes) whose articles do not state any claims of indigenous heritage.·Maunus· ·ƛ· 07:51, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

this should be merged with the Mexican people of indigenous peoples descent category[edit]

since both categories are basically the same, just worded differently — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.141.117.220 (talk) 22:44, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
