Is there a way to compare "local" mining terms (by local I mean by country/continent).

Examples:

Winding engine is the Australian/South African (I think) equivalent to a Canadian "Hoist Motor" (likewise winder=hoist)
In the article Underground mining (hard rock), there was reference to a "bogger" which I took as the Canadian equivalent to an LHD.

I am sure there are others.
