Guideline

[edit]

I've added a guideline, based on my understanding of the purpose of these templates. However, I may not have understood the purpose correctly; all I had to go on was my poor understanding of the French translation. Please improve as needed.

We may want to add a link to the Wikipedia in the appropriate language, since these users presumably don't write well in English.

Request for more of these templates

[edit]

For some reason, spammers write foreign spam (I've seen Turkish, Arabic, and Spanish) on English Wikipedia talk and user pages that I've come across, and I would like to warn them. Right now only {{Spam-fr}} and {{Spam-pl}} exist, so I make do with {{Uselanguage}} and {{Welcomeen-en}}, or a machine-translated {{uw-spam1}}. But some human-translated templates for this application would always be appreciated if a multilingual person would be so inclined. Meteor_sandwich_yum (talk) 07:13, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Meteor sandwich yum: I agree, but since this page has had a grand total of two visitors in over ten years ([1]), I'm not sure that this is the best place to ask!  :) —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap sh*t room 10:16, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
