The point of this category?

Wales has had no volcanoes for hundreds of millions of years, making this a rather pointless category, as is the case too for England. Yes there are plenty of volcanic rocks from former volcanoes but there is not generally any one-to-one correspondence between modern day hills/mountains and former volcanoes such has been the passage of time an degree of geological change in the landscape. For me, it's akin to placing axes in the category 'oak trees' just because the shaft is made of oak wood. Pointless. Geopersona (talk) 07:38, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
