CenterPoint Properties is a privately owned real estate developer based in the Chicago, Illinois suburb Oak Brook, Illinois that owns and develops large industrial real estate tracts particularly intermodal facilities.

According to its website it is "the largest owner, manager and developer of industrial real estate in metropolitan Chicago with 26 branded business parks. With our affiliates, we own and manage more than 27.8 million square feet of customers and have an additional 9,700 acres of land for future development."[1]

The company launched in 1984 as Capital and Regional Properties Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Capital and Regional plc, which was traded on the London Stock Exchange.[1]

In 1993 it made a public offering in the United States after acquiring the property of Chicago-based FCLS Investors Group. It traded on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker symbol "CNT."

In March 2006 it was privatized by CalEast Global Logistics. Prominent stockholders in CalEast are CalPERS and LaSalle Investment Management.[2]
