Chamberlain Hrdlicka White Williams & Aughtry, also known by the abbreviated name Chamberlain Hrdlicka, is an American law firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. Founded in 1965 by name partners Hank Chamberlain and George Hrdlicka, Chamberlain Hrdlicka originally achieved national prominence on tax law issues.[1] The firm represents both public and private companies, including many Fortune 500 companies, as well as individuals.[2] As of 2011, Chamberlain Hrdlicka employed more than 115 attorneys in five offices across the country.[3]

History

Chamberlain Hrdlicka's first office was founded in Houston, Texas in 1965 by Hank Chamberlain and George Hrdlicka, two veterans of the United States Department of Justice Tax Division.[1] While tax planning, tax controversy and tax litigation represent the bulk of Chamberlain Hrdlicka's work, client demand took the firm into other areas of the law including corporate, securities, employment, employee benefits, energy, estate planning and administration, intellectual property, immigration, general commercial and business, real estate, and construction.[3]
