Charles Henry Bryan was a politician and jurist in California.

Biography

Bryan was born on October 20, 1822, in Ellicottville, New York.[1] His father, John A. Bryan, was a United States diplomat, and his brother-in-law, John B. Weller, was a United States Senator. Bryan died on May 14, 1877, in Carson City, Nevada.

Career

Bryan was a member of the California State Senate in 1854 and was a justice of the Supreme Court of California from 1854 to 1855. After moving to Nevada, he was a delegate to the State Constitutional Convention in 1863.[2]
