Christopher "Dibs" David Edwards (born 20 December 1980,[1] Leicester) is an English musician, best known as the bassist for rock band Kasabian.

Biography

Edwards is the bass player for Kasabian, which he started with fellow band members Tom Meighan, Sergio Pizzorno and Christopher Karloff. His father was a Mathematics teacher at Sir Jonathan North Community College, Leicester.[2] His mother is a keen photographer and sometimes travels with the band and photographs them backstage and on stage too. He recently made an appearance in a Carlsberg advertisement.

Influences

Having taken bass up at the relatively late age of 18, Chris Edwards started listening to the likes of The Verve and Oasis, then later on to Noel Redding in the late ’60s outfit, the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
