Basic facts

Interior of the train

The City Airport Train runs on the same rails as the S-Bahn S7 stopping service, but takes only 16 minutes from the Airport to Wien Mitte station, compared to 25 minutes for the S7. A single CAT ticket costs €12 and a Return tickets costs €19 when purchased from ticket machines, while S7 tickets only cost €4.20. The CAT and S7 run twice an hour during the day.

In 2008, nearly 1.1 million passengers were carried.[1]
