The Monument to Confederate war soldiers was an outdoor Confederate memorial located outside of the Tarrant County Courthouse in Fort Worth, Texas. The memorial was funded by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1953.[1]

Removal
[edit]During the George Floyd protests in June 2020, following the murder of George Floyd, a number of statues and memorials where toppled or removed. After residents defaced the monument the Tarrant County commission voted to remove it. The monument was removed on June 13, 2020,[3] and moved to storage.[4][5][6]
