The Congaline Carnival was first started in 1994, and celebrated its last year in 2004. It is a nine-day carnival in the town of Congaline on the Caribbean island of Barbados held annually at the end of April. Congaline village is the heart and soul of the carnival, providing a daily exhibition forum, and marketplace for a myriad of free entertainment. It is often referred to as the 'World's Greatest Street Party' and culminates in a one-day T-shirt band parade. The emphasis on the carnival is the music, and includes many local musicians.
