Conus advertex is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Conidae, the cone snails, cone shells or cones.[1][2]

These snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans, therefore live ones should be handled carefully or not at all.

Description

The size of the shell varies between 27 mm and 46 mm.

Distribution

This marine species of cone snail is endemic to Australia (New South Wales, Queensland).[2]
