Culburra is a settlement in South Australia on the Dukes Highway and Melbourne–Adelaide railway.[2] Culburra is an indigenous name meaning "plenty of sand"[3] and was previously called Dewson before the name was changed in the early 20th Century.[4] At the 2006 census, the Culburra locality had a population of 304.[5]
