"DVNO"
Song

"DVNO" is a song by French electronic music duo Justice from their debut album Cross. According to band member Xavier de Rosnay, "DVNO" stands for "Divino". de Rosnay states, "In most suburbs of the world, in every city, there's most of the time, a nightclub called El Divino...sometimes... Clubs where you have to wear a white shirt to get in, half the time."[citation needed]

The vocalist featured in the song is Mehdi Pinson from the band Scenario Rock, under the pseudonym of DVNO.

The song was featured in the 2007 film Hitman directed by Xavier Gens. It plays as the Hitman enters the lair of Udre Belicoff. The song was also used in a commercial for the Discovery Channel in 2007.

The song was released on May 19, 2008 in the United Kingdom and was given substantial airplay. The song was added to Radio 1's B List playlist.

Music video

The song's music video is directed by So-Me, Yorgo Tloupas and Machine Molle;[1] it features the song's lyrics turned into animated 80s-style logos of familiar companies, such as (in order of appearance) Channel 4, NBC, PBS, HBO, Sega, Universal Studios theme parks, Audi, Cannon Films, 20th Century Fox, CBS/Fox Video, and Universal Pictures, with band members Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé playing piano at the end. The outro is a homage to the closing logo of Stephen J. Cannell's production company. The video was featured as a "Web Obsession of the Week" in the March 14, 2008 edition of Entertainment Weekly. The video has a different ending to the song; it features Augé and de Rosnay on piano, while the actual song (on CD) has a slap-bass ending.
